* WHAT...Heavy snow. Snow accumulations between 6 to 10 inches expected. * WHERE...East Slopes of the Oregon Cascades. * WHEN...From 4 AM Friday to 10 AM PST Saturday. * IMPACTS...Significant snowfall with periods of heavy snowfall rates will combine with low visibility to create difficult driving conditions. Information: Persons should consider delaying all travel. If travel is absolutely necessary, drive with extreme caution. Consider taking a winter storm kit along with you, including such items as tire chains, booster cables, flashlight, shovel, blankets and extra clothing. Also take water, a first aid kit, and anything else that would help you survive in case you become stranded. Do not touch downed lines and report any power outages to your electric company. Travel is highly discouraged due to slick roadways and the possibility of downed trees and power lines. |

For the Wind Advisory, southwest winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts of 50 to 55 mph expected. * WHERE...For the High Wind Warning, parts of Lake County including sections of Highways 31, 395, and 140 near the communities of Silver Lake, Summer Lake, Paisley, and Adel as well as the Warner Mountains in Modoc County, including Cedar Pass.
